Brentford FC 1984-85 Retro Football Jacket

Brentford spent the entirety of the 1980s playing their League football in Englands third tier, so the 1984-85 season stood out for the club as it brought the welcome bonus of a Wembley final appeanace.

With a powerful team featuring Keith Millen, Terry Hurlock and Chris Kamara, Brenford eased past Reading, Cambridge United, Swansea City, Bournemounth and Newport Country to reach the final of that seasons Freight Rover Trophy. In front of 40,000 at Wembley the Bees went down 3-1 to Wigan Atlethic despite a Robby Cooke goal early in the second half threating a comeback.
