Portugal 1984 Away Retro Football Shirt

A strong qualifying campaign saw Portugal edge out the Soviet Union to reach the finals of the 1984 European Championships, the nations first international tournament participation since 1966. At the tournament proper the players quickly proved they were destined to light up the tournament.

At 81st minute winner by Nené against Romania in their Group 2 game saw them qualify unbeaten for the semi-finals. There Portugal would face France and the pair played out an epic contest narrowly won by 3-2 by the hosts with the winner coming late in extra-time. Winger Fernando Chalana and full back Joao Pinto were voted in the Team of the Tournament.
