Torino FC 1984-85 Retro Football Jacket

The return of Gigi Radice, the coach behind Torinos historic 1975-76 Scudetto, immedaitely  brought renewed positive enthusiasm and positive results during the 1984-85 season. Torino challenged for the title for much of the season, but three goalless draws in the final four matches ultimately proved decisive in the race for the championship. The Granata were therefore forced to settle for a respectable second-place finish behind champions Hellas Verona FC.

New signings Aldo Serena and the Brazilian Junior enjoyed outstanding seasons, combining for an impressive 16 goals. Austrian striker Walter Schachner also made an important contribution with 7 goals of his own. Key players such as Giovanni Francini and Guiseppe Dossena, excellent products of the clubs thriving youth academy, emerged as leaders of a and solid  and well organisized side.
