VFB Stuttgart 1987-89 Away Retro Football Shirt

The summar of 1987 felt like a new beginning in Stuttgart. After years of doubts, coach Ari Haan brought a breath of fresh air to the Neckarstadion and created a real sense of optimism both on and off the field.

Led by captain Fritz Walter, the team impressed with their excellent style of play and impressive team spirit.

Even through they failed to win any titles-the defeat in the DFB Cup Final was extremely painful. VFB  thrilled fans with spectacular victories and combative performances, not only in sports, but also emotionally.

The team sent a strong signal to fans and the city, the club was back on the big stage-with a new identity built on team spirit, a fighting spirit and courage.

Under the lights of the Neckarstadion, the feeling of being able to achieve something big returned.
