Servette FC 1978-79 Retro Football Shirt

The 1978-79 season proved a memorable on e for Servette as the club secured a historic trophy quadruplet under former player and now coach, Péter Pázmándy. 

The title win - a first for 17 years - was the proudest moment with the Geneva club first qualifying for the championship play-off round, then winning all ten of their games in it. This was a free-scoring team with goal threatsin both midfield and attack- Piet Hamberg, Marc Schnyder, Hansjörg Pfisterand Umberto Barberis all enjoyed profilic seasons.

The Dutch Midfielder Hamberg was the difference in the Cup Final too, scoring the decisive goalin a 3-2 replay win over Young  Boys, while the League Cup and the Alps Cup were added for a good measure.
