Having endured a disappointing campaign by Milan's high standards the previous year, the 1995-96 season was an opportunity to bounce back and end Fabio Capello's spell as coach on a high note.
The defence tightened up and the arrival of George Weah and Roberto Baggio reinvigorated the attack with both players hitting double figures for the season in all competitions. Milan led the table from the fourth round and eventually eased to their inevitable scudetto win with an 8 point gap over their rivals.
This was the club's fourth title of the decade and fourteenth overall.
