The Polish coach Aleksander Mandziara was the man responsible for returning Young Boys Berne to the pinnacle of the Swiss game during the 1985-86 season with a first title in 26 years. YB relentlessly closed in on long-time leaders Neuchatel Xamax and, at the climax of the season and trailing by just a point, travelled to their title rivals and stunned them with a famous 4-1 win.
