With the back-to-back European and World Cup wins in the middle of the decade, the world came to know the nerazurri with its celebrated manager Helenio Herrera and squad full of Italian stars like Mazzola, Facchetti, Corso, Picchi, Sarti, Burgnich and foreign legends Jair da Costa and Luis Suárez. Herrara is still regarded as the greatest coach in the history of FC Internazionale and it was his work and his success that helped transform the club from a leading player in Italian football to the global brand it is today.
