It was all change for the 1991-92 season as Internazionale bade farwell to Giovanni Trapattoni after half a decade in charge and appointed the relatively unknown Corrado Orricoas his successor.

The squad was reshaped with the addition of new players like Stefano Desideri, Angelo Orlando and Paolo Tramezzani to join established stars Zenga, Bergomi, Ferri, Berti and the three Germans, but there was a struggle for consistency and for goals and managerial change resulted.

Jurgen Klinsmann led Inter's scoring charts with 8 goals as Inter finished their Serie A campaign in eighth position.
