Genoa CFC 1979-80 Retro Football Shirt

Gianni Di Marzo took charge of Genoa during the 1979-80 season, as a developing team was beginning to take shape that would help pave the way for promotion the following year.

At the back, promising young talents were emerging, including the 19-years-olds Sebastiano Nela and Giancarlo Corradini, both destined to go on to important careers.

Genoa proved particularly strong at home, remaining unbeaten, supported by their passionate Rossoblu fans who continued to fill the stadium in great numbers.
